Maria participated in a transformative rammed earth wall workshop hosted by Architect Louis Sarda in the charming village of Rupia, Catalonia, Spain. Over three days, Maria delved into traditional building techniques, specifically focusing on the craft of rammed earth walls. Architect Sarda provided hands-on instruction, guiding participants through clay tests and techniques for identifying locally available clay types.

This immersive experience went beyond theoretical learning, offering practical insights into sustainable construction methods deeply rooted in Catalonia's cultural and architectural heritage. Maria's participation in the workshop not only enhanced her skills in traditional building but also fostered a deeper connection to the symbiotic relationship between architecture and the natural environment.
