Two live video mapping performances, on a custom-made mapping scenography, inspired by the Cuban vegetation and the graphics of Cubalandz. The mapping performances accompanied the live DJ set of Hape, a collective of DJs, musicians, music lovers, and cultural promoters from different countries offering a unique space for collaboration and experimentation (8 June), and the live concert of Marlène Dorcéna, a Haitian singer living in Belgium that leads us into her own musical world with her warm, vibrant personality and her melancholy tunes (12 June). For its fourth edition, the CubaLandz festival of contemporary Cuban arts is honoring Haiti. For Bozar and Camarote, the aim is both to highlight the cultural and artistic vitality of the region, away from the exotic clichés, and to build bridges between Cuban and Haitian artists, whether islanders or from the diaspora, thus contributing to the historical dialogue between these two communities.
